Moving Towards Balanced Literacy

For the 2009-10 school year, my district is changing from a whole language approach to the balanced literacy method. In conjunction with the district's balanced literacy initiative, I will be attending Lesley University's Effective Literacy Coach training with Irene Fountas. My first week begins on August 17.
